Using Sole Connect

Sole Connect by Pontvera provides a marketplace for discovering shoes and contacting sellers in Kampala, Uganda. Contact our support team with questions. These terms apply to browsing, seller accounts and requests placed through the service.

Seller eligibility and approval

Sellers must be adults aged 18 or older, provide accurate information and be authorised to represent their shop. Sellers must be approved by the platform before listing products. Approval may be refused, suspended or withdrawn where information is inaccurate or there are safety, authenticity or policy concerns. A verification badge reflects a platform review; it does not guarantee every product.

Listings and intellectual property

List only products you are permitted to sell. Describe condition, sizes and prices accurately. Counterfeit, stolen and unlawful goods are prohibited. Upload only actual product photos you own or are authorised to use. Do not upload identity documents or other people’s private information.

Order requests and payment

Submitting an order request asks the seller to confirm availability and fulfilment; it does not charge your card, collect payment or create escrow. The displayed product price is in Uganda shillings. Before you agree to purchase, confirm the complete amount, including any delivery charge, with the seller. No delivery charge should be assumed to be included unless explicitly confirmed.

Seller commission

The applicable commission must be disclosed and agreed with the seller before approval and sales. The seller dashboard displays the recorded agreed rate. Future changes must be communicated before they apply; they should not be imposed retroactively on completed sales. Contact support for the current proposed schedule.

Delivery, returns and disputes

Confirm the delivery or collection arrangements, payment method and return conditions with the seller before purchase. Read our returns and refunds information. Platform-managed delivery and escrow may be introduced later under separate published terms; they are not included in the current service.

Responsible use

Do not impersonate others, manipulate verification, interfere with other shops, scrape personal data, upload harmful content or use the platform unlawfully. Keep account credentials private and contact us if you suspect misuse.

Privacy, suspension and closure

Our privacy notice explains data handling. You can request account closure through seller settings or the data request page. We may restrict accounts or listings to protect users or comply with law. Outstanding disputes or legal recordkeeping may need to be addressed after closure.

Responsibility and applicable rights

Sellers are responsible for accurate listings and fulfilling agreements they make with buyers. Sole Connect provides the platform and support but cannot promise uninterrupted service or every seller’s performance. Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded. Contact support first to seek a practical resolution to a dispute.

Shop changes

Changing an approved shop’s name, area or public contact number sends it back for verification before it is public again.
